Why a Shock Mount ATA case?
There are other pedalboards on the market that are designed so that the
'case' is the 'pedalboard'.
This pedalboard/case all in one design allows the pedalboard contents
to suffer all of the shock, bumps, drops and slams from typical tour
use, simply because your pedals are mounted to the actual case.
In true innovative Trailer Trash fashion, we have designed a pedalboard
that will rest in a 1" foam ATA tray. Our boards are designed either
to take out of the tray, or you can set the ATA case down on the stage,
undo the butterfly latches, lift off the lid, plug in your board, play
a show, while still have it protected by the 1" foam ATA tray. Fast
, easy, and reliable.
We went through many designs to get the play area of the board as low
profile as possible when in the tray. It is comfortable.
This is a proven design. Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney has had
Trailer Trash Pedalboards Products on tour since 2004, and has never
had a break down... This is real touring, forklifts, semi trucks, ramps,
rain, roadies etc...
All of the Trailer Trash Products built for Rascal Flatts are housed
in our Shock Mount ATA Case Design.
The new ATA case from Trailer Trash Pedalboards has been taken one step
further in design. We have addressed the weight issue in everyway possible
since the original conception of the company, and our new ATA cases
are no exception.
We have researched and found new materials on the market that are the
same thickness as the standard wood used by most current case companies.
The composite is much lighter than wood and rates just as high if not
higher.
(Please don't confuse this with the thin plastics used by some rack and
case companies. That is a different catagory.)
The result is that a quality wood ATA case for a 30"x18” pedalboard
typically weighs 30lbs. - 35lbs. That is just the ATA case, not including
the pedalboard, or the contents on the board.
Our new ATA case (30x18) weighs 17lbs without the board inside. 13-18lbs
lighter than industry standard wood cases! This comes in handy when
you are paying the upcharges that airlines charge for excessive weight.
